Fonthill House – Fonthill Care (Harry Park) Limited – St Albans

As a Waiter / Waitress, you will primarily be responsible for serving food and beverages in the restaurant and assisting residents with their meals, but the role will also require you to take on other hospitality duties around the home when required.

Job Duties:

Ensuring that food and drink orders are delivered in a timely manner (in accordance to policies).
Checking with residents and guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and taking action to correct any problems.
Explaining how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.
Presenting menus to residents and answering questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request.
Removing dishes and glasses from bedrooms, tables or counters, and wash them up/take them to the dish washing area.
Serving food and/or beverages to residents in the coffee shop.
Maintaining clean and well stocked areas of the restaurant, including fridges and the drinks chiller.
Stocking service areas with supplies such as coffee, food and tableware.
Explaining how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.
Working on room service when required.

Working Hours:

Saturday and Sunday

Required Restaurant hours: 11:30am – 2:30pm and 4:30pm – 8:30pm

Any additional hours offered for hospitality duties are welcome and will be paid in addition to your normal hours.

Additional Information:

Applicants must be 18 years or older

All applicants must be vaccinated in line with government guidelines.
