Job Purpose:

As a Hospitality Team Member, you will be responsible for serving and delivering food and beverages in all areas of the home efficiently and in a courteous manner.

Hours of Work – 42 hours per week

Job Duties

  • Taking orders for room service and delivering food/drinks to residents’ rooms.
  • Basic preparation of breakfast items (cereal, tea, coffee toast etc)
  • Ensuring that food and drink orders are delivered in a timely manner (in accordance to homes policies)
  • Checking with residents and guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
  • Explaining how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.
  • Presenting menus to residents and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request.
  • Removing dishes and glasses from bedrooms, tables or counters, and taking them to dish wash area
  • Serving food and/or beverages to residents in the coffee shop.
  • Maintaining clean and well stocked service trolleys
  • Stocking service areas with supplies such as coffee, food and tableware.
  • Helping in the dining room if required

The job runs on a 2 week rota- On week 1 you work Monday, Thursday and Friday. On week 2 you work Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

Previous experience in hospitality is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided for the successful candidates.

We are currently looking for an experienced Domiciliary Healthcare Assistant to join our team. You will be based within the home as well as visiting residents within their homes providing private care as per the individual’s care plan.

Community Care is a key part of your role in working for us. You will start and end your shift within Fonthill House and as per the needs and requirements of the community during your shift, you will be asked to assist with community care too visiting people’s homes and caring for them according to your training with Fonthill Care.

  • Assisting residents in all aspects of their care needs (e.g. physical, emotional and spiritual). Providing attention when needed, whilst ensuring the residents retain their comfort and dignity.
  • Paying particular attention to assisting people who have limited mobility, or physical difficulties, making the best use of aids provided.
  • Assisting in the delivery of care for people who are dying or who have a progressive illness.
  • Observing care planning needs for people and completing daily records as instructed and in line with the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Assisting in framework of social activities by interacting with people and helping them continue with hobbies and activities in the Home.

As a Registered Nurse you will show warmth and support to our residents, helping to promote independence and dignity and positively enhancing the quality of lives of the individuals in your care. You will predominantly providing direct care to people.

Your role will be to deliver front-line care support services to the company’s service users. 

Job Duties: 
Your duties and responsibilities will vary depending on the needs of the service user but can include; 

  • Personal Care – from washing/bathing to supporting with eating, drinking and toileting. Assisting with dressing, supporting with exercises and other mobility needs. Personal Care may be required at any time of day or night
  • Practical Support – may involve duties such as washing up, monitoring of food and domestic cleaning – laundry, ironing etc. Occasional shopping duties may be required and other household management tasks.

  • Clean and sanitise rooms including furnishings in assigned work areas
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout all facilities
  • Will need to demonstrate the ability to work without direct supervision
  • Maintain the highest levels of cleanliness throughout the home – including bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors and other public areas
  • Laundry i.e. washing/drying and ironing and ensuring that residents laundry is returned correctly to them
